You are so funny! Love your blog! I am 41…and single and on eharmony down in San Diego. I was searching online for answers to what others said on the “adventurous” question and that’s how i found your blog!
I hate that question too. I even asked my therapist…how do i answer that? She said…well you quit your job and decided to change careers… I said oh yeah….I guess that’s adventurous. Not really in my book because I have been quiting jobs the past few years due to horrible situations and/or a couple of crazy bosses. I certainly won’t tell a guy that.
Anyway…you are a very bright and cool gal and I love your blogs!

Ha ha, I’ve got you all on the edge of your seats! Don’t worry, all — I will do a follow up post tonight or tomorrow.

CMajor — yes, I know I’m nuts.

GH – when I wrote about the guy who doesnt live up to his emails I was referencing a very specific guy who I wrote about in my last blog, who I was totally crushing on over email and then in person there were crickets (and then he “died”). I wouldn’t worry if I were you.

Nine – I guess I am REALLY such a lawyer, since I don’t even give much thought to using words like “unmitigated”! Too much drafting legal documents, methinks!

J – I don’t know about my co-workers’ crazy factor, but they are definitely nosy and like to make fun. Either he’s going to get interrogated, or he is going to get stared at and I’m going to get interrogated later! Luckily we are driving to the event together so we’ll have a bit of time to figure out how to pretend we already know each other.

Girl, you are crazy!! You couldn’t pay me enough to go on a first date with my co-workers around.

That being said, I’m sure your co-workers are way less nuts than mine (trust me on this).

On the other hand, he’ll get to see you getting your award, which is awesome. He’ll love you. And he asked for it.

Damn. Now I wish I were attending the function just to see how the whole thing goes down.

Look at it this way: either way, you’re getting an award. With a bit of luck, you’ll get an award and find yourself a really cool guy.

Of course, now I’m wondering: as someone who both blogs and e-mails often, would I also fall into that “never living up to” thing? Hmmmmmmm….
